Couples Therapy

Relationships in distress can cause unresolved issues, resentment, and unhealthy communication patterns. Healthy relationships can spark growth, enlightenment, and newfound appreciation for one another. I am particularly passionate about working with couples and am committed to working collectively to help you thrive in your relationship.

In a couples therapy session, you can expect to not only clarify your feelings toward the relationship but also to take ownership as to how much work you are willing/able to put in towards change and healing. Couples therapy can help resolve relationship challenges by giving dedicated space for each partner to express themselves, address recurrent themes, and identifying deeper issues. Couples therapy can also deepen intimacy and connection with your partner that has either been lost over time, been put on the back-burner due to other demands of life, comfort and routine evolved into complacency or it has not been given the consistent effort it takes to continue to feel cared for and appreciated.

Couples therapy can only be as effective as each partner’s individual readiness towards change and vulnerability. The process of identifying goals and assessing what has influenced a couple’s dynamic is also dependent on each partner’s willingness to be transparent, take accountability and contributions toward growth.

Testimonials

  • “When my husband and I began our journey with Diana, we were broken individuals unable to identify the catalysts to our unhappiness as a couple. After seeing Diana, she was able to get us to understand one another, lay out a unified vision for our relationship and parenting styles, effectively communicate in the moment, and assist us with deeper connection and intimacy. Ultimately, our marriage is in a great place and we have Diana to thank!”

  • “Diana has been a great fit for us to work through relationship obstacles. Her personality is very warm, relatable, and nonjudgmental, and I felt that she provided a space for me and my partner to receive validation.”

  • “Diana's style of holding us accountable and her straightforward style has been the mirror that we needed during our counseling sessions. Simply put, Diana speaks our language. Our marriage was on the brink of ending, and Diana helped us walk back from the edge of the dissolution cliff.”

  • “Ms. Nesko is wonderful to work with. Her calm, wise, and funny insights make the sessions a time to reflect on the relationship in a thoughtful way. We look forward to the therapy sessions and know that we will draw closer to each other as a result. We started initially as a dating couple starting over again. My now husband and I at the time were both divorced. We also each brought a child into the mix as well. The statistics are awful for couples wanting to marry the second time successfully. Now that we are married we still meet with Ms.Nesko monthly for check-ins. No relationship structure is too complicated for her. She meets you where you are and works with you both to be better.”

  • “Working with Diana has allowed us to rebuild our relationship by giving us the necessary tools to see and actually hear each other. Her direct and no-nonsense approach to counseling has allowed us to see ourselves from a different perspective which has allowed us to be better partners to each other.”
